Today, I want to touch upon the difference between Realtors and real estate agents. A Realtor is a real estate agent, but a real estate agent might not be a Realtor. Here’s why.
A Realtor is held to a higher standard of ethics and practice. They’re also members of the National Association of Realtors and, likewise, the local Realtor boards. They have passed a test to become registered within their state.

Working with a licensed Realtor offers more benefits compared to your average real estate agent. Realtors are held to be more accountable, receive more training, and understand updated regulations to better serve clients. Be careful when you’re shopping around for a real estate agent. Make sure they’re also a Realtor!
