Today, I want to talk to you about the
exciting news that rocked Connecticut a couple weeks back. GE decided to leave
our wonderful state and head to Boston. The big question we're getting now is,
"How will this affect the real estate market?"
In my opinion, this will have a nominal effect. A lot of people prepared for this to happen. Many of our clients have already listed and sold their homes. We will see an influx in listings, but the state is not losing the property tax from GE or their building. There will not be any increase in property tax.

Really, any shift in the market will be more psychological than
tangible. Hopefully,
this serves as a wake-up call for Connecticut, so the state can change their
ways, attract more businesses, and support businesses on a day-to-day basis.
