Thanks for tuning into my second video blog
of November. I'd also like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and hope that you will be spending some valuable time with your families.
I'd like to speak about a trend I've been noticing with some of my recent buyers. They've been surprised at the amount of unanticipated costs that result from buying a home.

One of these clients in particular saw a bunch of rot on the
outside of the home. This
resulted in the client having to repaint the entire exterior almost a year
ahead of schedule, and then she also replaced windows, put in central AC, and
refinished the floors. These were all things that the buyer
wanted to do, but didn't anticipate having to make all the repairs at once.
So, what should you do to avoid this?
We suggest bringing a contractor with you to a home inspection to make a running tally of the total costs involved in repairing a home that you want to buy. This will help you prepare financially for a home purchase and may greatly influence your decision to purchase a home.
If you have any further questions about the hidden costs of buying a home (think about insurance, maintenance, mortgage insurance, etc.), please don't hesitate to contact me.
