There is a big change coming to the mortgage process that will affect the entire real estate industry.

An important part of the buying process is getting pre-approved to purchase a home. However, pre-approvals no longer exist, and you can no longer have the address of the home on the form. Pre-approvals will now be called pre-qualifications.

Look out for this, especially if you're a seller because there is no longer a hierarchy of pre-approvals and pre-qualifications. They now denote the same thing.

If you're a buyer, understand how important it is to have this designation. You'll stand out to sellers in a crowded market and increase your chances of getting the home that you desire.

If you have any questions about this, or how it might affect your real estate transaction, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you!
