Prepare Your Home for the 2017 Market

It may seem crazy, but today I’m talking about the 2017 real estate market. If you’re considering listing your home in the first quarter or in the spring, now is the time to start preparing your home for the market.

This is one of your last chances to take care of any deferred maintenance items outside and inside your home if you want to get on the market before the big spring rush. Pre-treat your lawn heading into fall and winter. Clean it up. Make everything look nice and neat now so you have less work to do in spring.

As the weather gets colder, focus on the inside of your home. Paint and take care of those little touch ups you’ve been putting off. Doing so will add to your net profit and make selling your home much easier.

The 2017 market seems pretty far away, but if you start tackling these items now, everything will be a whole lot easier when I knock on your door to get your home ready for the market.
