I want to wish everyone a very happy holiday season! No matter what it is you celebrate this time of year, we hope you enjoy that time with family in friends.

Today, I want to share a few tips to keep your home warm this winter. As the weather continues to get colder, keep these three things in mind:
  1. Make sure central air conditioning ducts are closed. These are natural escape routes for heat -- they will cause a draft in your home if they're not close.
  2. Seal windows using plastic wrap or caulk. If they're not newer windows, feel around them to see if any cold air is coming in. If you feel cold air coming in, seal that area!
  3. Close the flue. Everyone likes to light a nice warm fire during this time, but you need to ensure the flue is closed when you're done. If you don't warm air is going to escape!
If you have any questions about preparing your home for the winter months, or if you need real estate assistance of any kind, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to hear from you!
