Recent trends have blurred some of the lines in the Connecticut real estate market. Everybody used to rush to the market in April hoping to sell their home before the next school year started. While this behavior still occurs, it is becoming less common.

Buyers are looking for a fair value regardless of the time of year. Online home search sites have made it easier than ever to keep an eye on the market year-round. We're beginning to see buyers who look for homes all year and jump in the market once the right home comes along for the right price.

The spring is no longer a time when you're most likely to find the best buyer. It all comes down to the price and condition of your home. If the right buyer is out there, you'll be able to sell your home during any season. There is no reason to wait until next spring if you are prepared to sell your home now. Trying to time the market to maximize your results is a thing of the past - don't let the seasons dictate your actions.
